Having helped maintain a few older buildings with tonnes of character (also heavily involved with the fire safety program) some of which were Grade 2* listed and some just gorgeous examples of our built environment that were not listed, I have developed a really good understanding of how older, historic buildings have been constructed,how they are used and how they can be protected.
